The Edge-Bursa Malaysia Rate Race 2008 19th Aug 2008

Last year i didn't join because i'm carrying a baby. So this year I want to give it a try. I immediately signed up for rat race. I know it will be quite tiring but just want to give some challenge to my body. With a limited time to do some training, I just join aerobic class and kick boxing to get some stamina.At 2.30pm 19th Aug, we moved to Bursa Malaysia at Jalan Tun Perak with 2 buses. Our dept who joined this year are Uma Selvy, Hafiz, Nik & myself. Carmen and Amelia pull out due to some reason.

My number is 555. We have to run for 4.5km within one hour, yes! I did it. Manage to finish within one hour. But i got 321th place. Haha..for me is okay, out of 700 plus runner, not bad haa...We pass by KLCC and come back to Bursa Malaysia office.This is charity program. In order to contribute for charity, we have to join the run. So Digi sent most number of runner meaning Digi is the highest contribution for this time. We contribute RM75k with 10 teams runner. There are international team, from Korea Stock Exchange, Singapore,US and New York Stock Exchange too.

There are 75 companies joining and manage to collect RM1.7mill. That money was distributed to 20 charitable organisation with RM87k each. This is a very good thing to happen in our society when we care for less fortunate people. Especially this time around to have fasting month and Aidilfitri around the corner. May they able to enjoy the Holy month with extra joy with that little money.

As for me, that is a very good experience to have opportunity to meet up with a lot of people from other organisation. Next year Insyaallah will join again if my health permit.

D'Challenge - 15th Aug 2008

Dare it! Do it! DG2 it! That's our tag line for the D'Challenge. The synopsis is; Our King ( CFO) has lost his magical precious golden ball. So Digizen has been ordered to find the golden ball. In Digiland, Digizen been divided to 4 clans - Harry Porter , Pirates of Carribean, Lords of the Rings and Star Wars. I'm in the Star Wars clan. We have Storm Troopers, Jedi Nights and Workabees..Each clan wearing the specific colour of t-shirt with the clan theme. We fighted, we played, we eat, we dance and we boo each other. We are not working on that day.

We have our event organizer - Edwin, Christopher, Joanna Bessy & Elain Daily.

For dinner, we have been served Tony Romas. Our parking space open car park has been transformed into garden concept banquatte. We have the performance till midnight but me myself went back at 9.30. The performer, Magician can't capture our attention for so long as we get boring along the way.

For me, Wet Wild 7127 is much better comare to this one although we have the same event organizer. I didn't get any chance to play anything as the game so limited to those who physically strong. Hmmm...Being spectator along the way

D'House Townhall Session

Our CEO, Johan Dennelind had invited all Digizens to townhall to share or brief about our Quarter 2 result. Everyone is concentrated on what he is saying. After that , we have been served by Tony Romas's catering food. D'Chilz session. Digi provided two big flat screen for their Digizen to watch Beijing 2008. But where we have so much time to sit and watch it?

Closing always Come and Go!

4th August, Monday - is a 2nd working day. And yet i haven't finish so many of my task for closing time. This is the most horrible closing as so much thing unsettled. Last Friday suppose to stayback, but due to some unavoidable reason then have to go back early. Cannot 'steal' any of my time during weekend...Saturday, to Yati's wedding, one of our colleague at Sec 7, Shah Alam. Rombongan Cik Kiah with Kak Jumie and Kak Lin with the kids. Hubby all left at home ..haha..

After wedding, rush to Bukit Antarabangsa sent maid to her sister's house. We all overnight at Gombak. On Sunday, shopping Spreeeeee at Jaya Jusco Alpha Angle! My kids got sponsored for their Raya attire from their nenek. Thank you nenek!!hehe...One problem settled..

So, Monday morning, wake up at 5.00. Came to work at 7.10. I think so far this is the earliest. Huhu...Carpool with Kak Lin so manage to get parking at Level 1. Special maa...

And I'm fasting too today. By fasting, I can save 'ladies' time and most importantly don't have to go out for lunch time...save time some more..just steal a bit of time to write this on.

By then, tata....

Time to go back to work!

Today register for DiGiRemit, so after this can just transfer my maid's money to Indonesia via sms. So convenient and I love it! This is one of our Finance's team member's innovation to come up with this idea. We colaborate with Citibank.
